Liberty World Outreach Church, Inc. has enjoyed a rich and colorful church history. We are proud to be an associate church of the ministerial organization Faith Christian Fellowship International (FCF Int'l). It is an organization of churches and ministries that are families within the family of God that began under the direction of the late Doyle “Buddy” Harrison. It was known as Faith Christian Fellowship of West Tulsa.
In July 1985, the church was reorganized as Liberty World Outreach, Inc., under the pastorate of Rev. Samson Doolin. Later, the church moved to a storefront building at 45th & Peoria Street in Tulsa and became an associate church of Faith Christian Fellowship International. The mission of the church centered on ministering to the broken hearted, offering healing to the total man - spirit, soul and body.
In 1986, Liberty World Outreach relocated in the old Brookside Post Office. This was the home for Liberty World Outreach until February of 1992 when it purchased an 8,800 square foot worship facility. The new facility included a 450 seat Sanctuary and an Educational Building situated on approximately 4 acres located on the corner of S. Rockford and 58th Street (near S. Peoria and 61st Street).
In July 1995, after 10 years of service, Rev.Samson Doolin was called to another pastorate in Baltimore, Maryland. Rev. Emile Hawkins, Sr., was installed as the new Senior Pastor of Liberty World Outreach.
In the summer of 2002, Liberty World Outreach’s new 11,000 square foot multi-purpose building was completed and the vision of hosting community outreach programs began. Key outreach ministries initiated under Rev. Hawkins leadership were High Hopes Summer Camp and Jobs Partnership of Tulsa, a job mentoring program helping people rebuild lives while learning the message of God’s love.
In 2005 the Lord began speaking to Rev. Hawkins about his next assignment. In July of 2009, Rev. Adrian and Beatrice Humphrey were installed as the new Senior Pastors of Liberty World Outreach. God instructed them to do three things; a) be a bridge, b) help prepare the next generation, and 3) to continue to help heal the wounded and broken hearted. They are currently engaged in the first phase of restoring the 8,800 square foot worship facility.
We thank God for the faithful Pastors, members and friends, who have partnered with us through the years.
