The heart of our Pastor is that the members be feed the Word of God. He realized that it is important for every member to feel like they are part of this ministry. Therefore, we encourage each member to be a part of our Small Group ministry.
KG FAQ's
1. What does Koinonia mean? Koinonia is a Greek word which means partnership or fellowship.
2. Who leads the KG meetings?KG meetings are hosted by our M.A.G. - Ministers Accountability Group members. They must have completed the Ministers Accountablity program here at LWO.
3. Where are the KG meetings held?Each KG leader, along with the group participants, determine where they will meet weekly. Typically it is in the same location weekly.
4. Do I have to be a member of LWO in order to participate in a KG? No, you don't have to be a member of Liberty in order to be a part of a KG. However, in order to lead a small group, you must complete the new members information and complete the M.A.G. (Ministers Accountability Group) program.
5. How long does the average KG meeting last? A KG meeting typically lasts a minimum of 60 minutes.
6. How does the KGs handle childcare? Each KG handles chilcare differently. However, children are welcome to all KG meetings.
7. What exactly happens at a KG meeting? A KG meeting is curriculum-driven. The curriculum-driven meetings are guided by lesson plans that are given to and prepared by the facilitator of the lesson. In general, KG meetings follow a forum of the 4-W's--Welcome, Worship, Word and Witness.
8. How are KG curricula chosen? The Senior Pastor conceives and commissions a church-wide curriculum. Often times the curriculum is in direct link to the sermon topics.
9. How do I find a KG meeting to attend? Ask an usher or greeter to direct you to any of the leaders or ministers at LWO. The ministers or leaders will be able to direct you to a KG leader.
10. What is the minimum or maximum number of people that can be in a KG? Any KG with less than 12 members are constantly witnessing and recruiting new participants. However, if a group consistenly has 12 or more members, we encourage the leader to recommend one or a couple in their group to begin M.A.G. training in order to start another KG.
